About the Curator
Dr. Kitty (Ph.D. in Volcanology)
With a foundation in deep-earth petrology and magmatic processes—gained through extensive field and laboratory research on major eruptions such as Asama and Shinmoedake—Dr. Kitty transitioned the focus from academic laboratories to the living pulse of active volcanic landscapes.
Currently based around the Sakurajima and Kinko Bay Geopark, the mission is to bridge rigorous earth science with immersive exploration. From developing local geoscience curricula to pioneering interpretive disaster-prevention tourism, every bespoke journey is crafted to translate raw geological phenomena into profound intellectual experiences.
